Laurent Nègre

Laurent Nègre (b. 1973, Geneva) is a Swiss filmmaker, screenwriter, and producer whose work blends political awareness with intimate human storytelling. After studying at INSAS in Brussels, he gained attention with Fragile(s) (2007), a sensitive portrait of disconnection and youth. He later explored questions of justice and radicalization in Confusion (2015), reflecting contemporary European tensions through restrained, character-driven narratives. As a producer and co-founder of Bord Cadre Films, he has supported internationally acclaimed projects while continuing to develop his own socially engaged cinema. Nègre’s films are marked by moral nuance, quiet intensity, and a commitment to examining the fractures within modern European society.
