Having deliberately lost sight of each other because they do not get along, Sam and his sister Catherine must now deal with their mother’s sudden death. All through the night before the funeral, the two seek together a way of coming to terms with their sorrow and resolving their longstanding and bitter differences in the face of this tragedy. Because they are young and still have a whole lifetime ahead.
When I conceived "Fragile", I wanted to explore the delicate balance between stability and collapse—both within individuals and within society. The film follows characters navigating uncertainty, where emotional vulnerability mirrors structural instability around them. I was interested in how small fractures—misunderstandings, silences, compromises—can slowly widen into irreversible breaks. Rather than dramatizing events excessively, I chose restraint, allowing tension to emerge through atmosphere and nuance. **The film ultimately suggests** that fragility is not weakness but a condition of being human; acknowledging it may be the first step toward resilience. Through intimate storytelling, I invite viewers to reflect on the thin line separating security from disintegration.
