An orchid farmer visits her ill sister in Bogota. While there, she befriends a French archaeologist in charge of monitoring the construction project and a young musician. Each night, she is bothered by increasingly loud bangs which prevent her from getting any sleep.
When I created "Memoria", I was drawn to the mysterious experience of a sound that only one person can hear. Through Jessica’s quiet search for its origin, I wanted to explore perception, memory, and the invisible threads connecting individuals to landscapes. The film unfolds slowly, allowing silence and stillness to become active presences. Colombia’s mountains and urban spaces hold echoes of histories that are not always spoken. **The film ultimately reflects** that memory is both personal and collective, resonating across time like an unseen vibration. I hoped to invite viewers into a contemplative state, where listening becomes a way of sensing the world beyond explanation.
