When I conceived "Kontinental'25", I wanted to build a fractured portrait of Europe—its memories, anxieties, and contradictions—through a collage of times, voices, and formats. Rather than following a conventional narrative, I assembled fragments that collide: past and present, irony and tragedy, high culture and banality. This mosaic structure reflects how history itself feels unstable and continuously rewritten. The film ultimately argues that Europe’s identity is shaped as much by denial and nostalgia as by progress, and that confronting uncomfortable truths is essential to understanding the present. Through provocation and dark humor, I invite viewers to question collective myths and the stories nations tell about themselves.
