When I made "Sermon to the Birds", I wanted to continue my exploration of solitude and spiritual searching. The film follows a wandering filmmaker who retreats into the mountains, seeking silence and meaning after emotional rupture. I blurred the line between autobiography and fiction because I was interested in vulnerability as a cinematic gesture. Nature is not merely a setting—it is a mirror, vast and indifferent, yet capable of absorbing confession. The film ultimately suggests that isolation can become a form of purification, where pain transforms into reflection. Through long takes and minimal dialogue, I aimed to create a meditative space in which the act of searching becomes more important than any clear answer.
