I made Desire because Carl Craig’s journey embodies more than music—it represents resilience, vision, and the transformation of Detroit techno into a global language. By following him around the world, I wanted to capture both the man and the cultural movement he symbolizes. The film conveys above all that creativity transcends borders, and that passion can turn a local rhythm into universal expression. Desire portrays techno not only as nightlife but as heritage, innovation, and community. It celebrates the force of desire itself—the relentless drive to create, move forward, and break boundaries.
