Sebastián Schjaer

Sebastián Schjaer (b. 1988) is an Argentine director, screenwriter, and editor celebrated for his introspective, character-driven filmmaking rooted in formal precision. Trained at Universidad del Cine—where he later taught for five years—he made his mark with two short films (Tomorrow All the Things and The Broken Past) that premiered at Cannes . His feature debut, The Omission (2018), was developed via the Cinéfondation and premiered at the Berlinale Panorama, offering an unsettling portrait of displacement and emotional disintegration .
