Melina León is a Peruvian director based in Lima and New York. She studied film and video at the University of Lima and studied film directing at Columbia University. Her short film **_Lili’s Paradise _**(**_El Paraíso de Lili_**) was officially premiered at the New York Film Festival and selected at more than 20 international festivals, winning 11 awards. She has become the first Peruvian female director to ever been selected for one of the sections of the Cannes Film Festival, her debut feature **_Song Without a Name_** (**_Canción sin nombre_**) had its world premiere as part of the 51st Directors’ Fortnight, Cannes 2019.
